Knowledge vs Wisdom

Knowledge is defined in the Oxford English Dictionary as (i) expertise, and skills acquired by a person through experience or education; the theoretical or practical understanding of a subject, (ii) what is known in a particular field or in total; facts and information or (iii) awareness or familiarity gained by experience of a fact or situation.

Wisdom is knowledge, understanding, experience, discretion, and intuitive understanding, along with a capacity to apply these qualities well towards finding solutions to problems.

So, Knowledge is what you learn and wisdom is how you use that knowledge.

The knowledge that is imparted at fine universities and institutions of education gives that person, people information that they can use in the real world.

The Wisdom to use that knowledge to obtain a job, get grants to fund projects and other productive objectives is something a professor, teacher cannot specifically teach their student.

Wisdom and knowledge are tied together and can be used together to create even bigger things. People receive recognition like the Nobel Peace Prize because they used their knowledge of something to do great and important things.

Learning from Blogging

Personal, technical or business blogs can give you in site into many aspects of knowledge that may have not been understood or known before.

Personal blogs give people a window to the world of another person. This includes their feelings, experiences and other things that they are willing to share with the world. Creating personal blogs makes the writer look into themselves and gain a better understanding about what they value the most.

Technical blogs are a great way of learning up to date information about certain topics from professionals or knowledge experts on that subject. The data can be Biased and one sided, yet it has a great store of personal knowledge on any one particular set of information.

Business blogs are used within a corporation to keep all departments and individuals up to date on the knowledge that is available inside the company. There can also be a company web site blog that is updated by someone inside the company to tell the public about what is going on inside the company, including new contracts, charities, company outings and many other things.

The use of blogs is informative and can provide knowledge that may have been lost if not written down for all to see. There is a lot to learn from blogs and blogging, so get to it.

Knowledge Management Strategies

I'm sitting in class realizing that I need to seek out knowledge from outside sources to gain a better understanding of how it is used in business.

I came across an article from the Harvard Business Review. The article i found is on page 322, or chapter 50. It goes over the tactics that can be used in businesses to manage the knowledge they are obtaining from their employees.

The first one is Codification Knowledge Management. This is refered as a "person-to-document" strategy. It is used to compile and Reuse information. Many times this is refered as explicit knowlege.

The second one is Personalization Knowledge Management. This is refered as a "person-to-person" strategy. It is used where people teach other people and no "documentation" is used. This is refered to as tactic knowlege management.

Jobs while in School!!!

I posted that I'm going back to school to get my second degree. I've gone to most of my classes and now am looking for work while I am in school finishing my classes. Now that I've been to most of my classes and have a bearing on what my classes are going to be like. I need to find a Job.

The type of job I need is one that is flexible enough to let me take my classes, while pays good enough that I don't have to work 50 hours a week to pay the bills.

I'm going to start by looking for Night work and also server work.

I have already started searching online with some of the bigger job sites and also searched at some of the job banks with MTSU. I now need to expand my search because there is so little response from those so far.

Thanks for reading
